Friday and Saturday

If I could, I would've done everyday of the first 7 days in a separate blog post. But I couldn't.

Why? Click on the big red button to know.

Can't find it? I guess you'd have to do it the non-magical way of knowing, reading.

FRIDAY

One of the perks of working at a printing shop is knowing things ahead of time. How many of you would've known about "Wireless 2+1 Vacuum" unless an annoying sales promoter shoves it right into your face? Not many would. To be frank, I don't give a crap. It is important though that I know it before any of you's. xD
New Church at Tebedu, 23rd Jan is the cutting-the-red-ribbon day. That's today! You have about 8 hours left. GOGOGO.
 150ft x 8ft / 45.72m x 2.4834m . That's VERY big. VERY long. VERY considerable amount of commission too. Started printing at 12pm.
It's for the new SUMMER shopping mall in Kota Samarahan. Never even knew there was one. But turn out it's pretty big.

At 12.30 I had to leave for Friday prayer. Had no idea where the nearest mosque is. So I walked and walked and walked. My dad told me there was a Surau near the Petronas station under the bridge. When I reached there, I saw no lot of parked cars by the roadside. There was this man who just got into his car, wearing a topi haji. I went up to the car's window and asked him where the nearby surau is. He ended up kindly giving me a ride to a surau, which I wouldn't have reached in time, or in an alive state if I were to walk on foot. Coincidentally met a relative there. Was very tired , almost fell asleep during khutbah but I tried paying attention. Then the man gave me a lift back to the original location. I was already late. Now I have to walk back all the way to the shop. I'd say it was 400m away. To make it even more fun, it was rush hour, everyone's speeding off to get to work in time. Had to walk really fast. At this point, I was still sick. I had a fever since the previous day. Tired, feverish and a running nose. Not an easy day.

Stumbled upon this on the way back. How can you not notice it?
Still printing after nearly 2 hours. Some of the brand names are CINDY, WATSON ans SOXWORLD.
I got too tired of moving back and forth from my seat and to the front of the machine to roll the ENORMOUS banner that I decided to just stay in front of it. Thighs were giving out.
Never so glad to see the name OSIM because it was one of the last names.
After 2 complete hours, it was done. Can't disclose the commission that I get, but it's pretty sweet for 2 hours!
 Kampung Tupong Banner.
I needed to get off work earlier at 3.30 pm because I needed to pick up the pay for the waitering gig at the CM's wedding reception. Boss was cool with it. Boss is cool innit.
Was very sick, I drank two 1.5L bottles of water and some more at work. Pissed , I mean, urinated (in the proper manner and at the proper location) every 15 minutes or so. Sneezing once in awhile.
Hazwan picked me up from home.

Wore this shirt (:

Thought it was going to be RM48 due to the meal breaks. Turns out it was RM58, we were on pay even when we had our breaks. How cool is that? RM58 in one day? Just work for 4 days and you can get around RM200.

When I got home, I'd never been so tired and ill in my life. When I got home, I took a long hot shower. Longing for bed. So at 5.30pm I proclaimed defeat and lied down on one site of my bed. Ceiling fan is off, bad for the flu. Put a big bottle of water by the bedside. I'd drink every 10 minutes or so. Urinated occasionally too. This went on till 6+pm, at when I fell asleep. Ah, sweet relaxing sleep.

Woken up by my dad at 7.10pm because it's not good to be sleeping during Maghrib. Also , we were about to eat out since my mum was on vacation in Singapore for the weekend. As much as I yearned for the pillow underneath my head, I dragged my limbs to put on proper clothing. Home, bed was the only thing I could think off. Never been so desperate for sleep in my life. Arrived back at home at 9.00pm and I was ready to sleep. Work the next day required me to wake up at only 7.30 am and I was ready to sleep. But I wouldn't call it sleep. More like a recuperating process. I repeated the same drink and piss process. Turned off the ceiling lights but left the night light on so I wouldn't trip over some stuff and get an added bonus of a face bruise to my extensive list of reasons-to-be-joyous list. When you're sick, you won't need any sort of air conditioning that you would normally need under the same temperature and climatic conditions. Artificial wind is actually pretty bad for health. Again, I fell asleep after some time, only to wake up not long after. I would fall asleep and wake up half an hour later, piss, drink and sleep again. I even got tired of resting, but I had to keep doing it. Either hell tonight or hell tomorrow. When I was at my sickest, the fever was very bad, the mattress underneath me felt really hot. I realised then that it was me, I was generating the hear. When I put my two hands together, I could feel the heat after 3 seconds. It was VERY HOT, I was getting a little bit worried. What if I get so hot and turned into the torch like in fantastic four? All the fan girls would be hard to manage! At one point in time , I felt like my conditions have improved by a little bit, wasn't sneezing so horrifically anymore. Checked out the time, midnight. I have 7.5 hours left to recuperate. Took flu medicine just to be sure, wondering if I was overdosing on it. Oh Loratadine syrup, you don't taste as sweet as syrup. I think I only slept for real at around 3 or 4 am. Woke up at 7. Killed the remaining time by.... sleeping even more.

7.30 am
After countless(literally) visits to the toilet and 10 hours on the bed, fever and sinus is now GONE!
vamoose! But in place of the previous illnesses , I had a major headache. But thank pharmacists David Lester and Leon Greenberg for rediscovering paracetamol. The headache subsided in the following hour.

Reading wikipedia at work.ohyeah! Voyich manuscript. Interesting 15th century shizzle.
 The shop.

The reason why I finally took some pictures of the shop's front is because Boss had asked me to design a 3x12 banner for the shop!
ngeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! xD
I contained my excitement though.
The very first thing I did at the shop was empty out the trash and pick up round waste paper clippings from the carpet. Not very glamorous. But hard work pays. I gave you proof.

I LOVE MY JOB. Even cutting up the banners was a fun task. I laid down and smiled to the ceiling. Kinda sad to know I'd have to stop later this year.

Accidentally brought back the measuring tape! Found it in my pocket.
